Boom—! The buildings themselves trembled, accompanied by the sound of rocks shattering, dust falling from the rooftops, countless cracks appearing on the window glass. The impact even transmitted through the walls to the windows, the vibrations resembling a combination of a typhoon and an earthquake.
Although there were fights and pyromaniac enthusiasts launching explosive magic spells in Tulips every day, this was not the school but a commercial district, where destruction shouldn't happen without reason. The Chicken Snake opened its mouth and roared, spreading its wings and stirring up the airflow. The crowds scattered and fled, but the Chicken Snake raised its head not to intimidate, but to gather power. Its most terrifying aspect was its ability to spit out a highly toxic substance called Petrifying Poison. The deep gray poison sprayed onto the ground, leaving corrosive traces. Some people nearby couldn't avoid it and were instantly hit by the poison, turning into stone sculptures.

Alena kicked over a table, grabbed Michelle by the waist, glanced at the kitchen door blocked by debris, gritted her teeth, kicked open the glass window, and leaped out.
“Ah!” Michelle let out a silent scream in the weightless sensation.
Ice wings, fueled by her own blood, unfurled behind Alena, slowing down their descent as they landed gently.
They jumped from the first-floor plaza into the gap, which was now the underground level.
Just as Michelle was about to say thank you, she suddenly noticed a massive shadow looming over them.
The advanced magical creature smashed through the corridor, its body enveloped in surging magical energy, charging directly towards them.
Its claws descended, ripping the ground apart and leaving clear gashes. Thunder transformed into tangible claw marks, advancing like erect laser barriers.
Chicken Snake had locked onto the two of them as its targets, driven by an unknown deep-seated animosity.
Michelle panicked, her face filled with fear. Besides that, she had no other expressions. She wasn't a warrior or a hero. Her mind couldn't think of how to protect herself - either surrender or curl up in defense.
Alena, on the other hand, had awoken the killer instinct in her bloodline. A chilling aura surged forth. Sensing the enemy's relentless ferocity, she did not succumb to panic but stared back in defiance.
At that moment, Alena noticed that the color of Chicken Snake's pupils was not the grayish-green mentioned in books and illustrations. Instead, they were red and becoming even redder.
She infused her blood with energy, turning it into frost. In an instant, the ground froze, and she shifted to the side and crouched down. Thunderous magical energy brushed past her, causing her hair to coil with electricity.
She gripped her icy-blooded longsword, pushed Michelle away, and the girl slid over ten meters on the slippery ground frozen by the frost.
Alena said, "I'll buy us some time. You go quickly inform the armed police and the knight's order."
Without waiting for Michelle's response, she lifted her right foot and stomped the ground fiercely. Frost spread along the surface, forming a fan-shaped frost trajectory. After a brief pause of one second, the ground instantly erupted with dozens of icy thorns, piercing towards Chicken Snake.
Unfortunately, it didn't manage to injure the opponent. Perhaps it had anticipated the move.
Alena also didn't know that this move could directly cleave Chicken Snake open, and it was regrettable that she didn't know the technique of sliding and shoveling. She was just buying them some time.
