Chapter 145: Brother and Sister

In the blink of an eye, the situation changed rapidly, catching everyone by surprise.

Who would have thought that instead of Bai Wei, it was Yagyū Simozi, the young girl, who arrived.

She walked in with a sword in hand, without any hesitation. She kicked over the wooden table, and as it tumbled through the air, it crashed towards Sanada.

On both sides, Hiroshi Miyamoto, along with Jutaro, quickly dodged and stepped back. However, one person couldn't react in time and got hit in the face by a scalding teacup. They fell to the ground, rolling in pain.

Sanada Ryoichi sat cross-legged. After a brief moment of surprise, he quickly regained his composure. With a sudden swing of his right fist, there was a loud thud as his iron fist shattered the wooden table.

The table was broken in half.

He stared at Yagyū Simozi with a fierce look in his eyes.

Tsuyoshi Goto, too, finally understood where the previous discomfort had come from and hurriedly tried to approach.

"I didn't expect to have invited the wrong person," Sanada Ryoichi said coldly. "Where is your brother? We didn't come here looking for a girl like you!"

"Big brother is not here, and you want to buy the Yagyū family's land, how can you not inform me?" Yagyū Simozi responded with a cold chuckle.

In the beginning, the Sanada Group had a conflict with the Yagyū family due to a valuable piece of land. It was a piece of land with great investment potential.

But Sanada Ryoichi has also risen to great success. His desire for that land is still there, but not as strong as before.

The reason for his confrontational attitude is not merely direct financial gain but rather his own self-esteem.

This was a conflict between two people, and he really didn't have a reason to bother Yagyū Simozi. His expression quickly became impatient.

Most of the members of the gang organization were men. The important figures he knew from the political and business world were all men. Suddenly, seeing a woman standing in front of him, holding a sword, felt very strange. He felt a sense of embarrassment deep within his heart.

Yingzhou has never allowed women to appear on the battlefield. Although there were a few female commanders, they were extremely rare. Women were supposed to stay at home, instead of wielding swords.

After a brief moment of anger, Sanada immediately lost interest. It felt like he had been eagerly waiting for a game launch event, only to be served a stale dish. He clenched his fists and smashed them on the ground. Then, he stood up and said to Tsuyoshi Goto, "Capture her! Then find a way to inform her older brother and bring him to me!"

"Do you want to run away?" shouted Yagyū Simozi loudly.

"If you can defeat all of my subordinates, I might consider facing you in a battle!" said Sanada Ryoichi before turning around and walking towards the exit of the house.

Yagyū Simozi squinted her eyes, while the blade of her sword peeked out from under her sleeve.

"Tsukiyo-ken" Muramasa. Gripping her sword's hilt, she slid the blade out, inhaled deeply, and let out a loud breath. With a forceful step on the ground, she bent forward, as if losing balance and falling forward, but in that moment, she exploded with the agility of a cheetah.

It was time for the Iaido strike.

One type of sword technique is called "Iaido", which involves unsheathing the sword quickly to attack. By utilizing the friction between the wrist, forearm, and sheath, the sword can be drawn out with high initial speed. This technique aims to achieve a lightning-fast and irresistible strike, capable of defeating the opponent in an instant. The origins of Iaido can be traced back to a style called "Hayashizaki Munetoshi's Hayashizaki Mugenryu Iaido".

Within the Mugen Shinmyō-ryū style, there was already a technique called Iaido, but it was not a master technique. However, in the midst of RashoMon, she made an additional choice to specialize in Iaido, enhancing this sword technique. She relied on her own experience and learned skills to compensate for it, turning this Iaido technique into the perfect opening move in a fight.

Even though she didn't often use a real sword, without using a real sword she couldn't practice Iaido. But she still felt that the Iaido strike was much more natural for her than other skills. This strike was fast, precise, and ruthless. As soon as the sword was drawn, she could cover a short distance of just ten steps in an instant.

The candle lit in the room almost went out as the gust from her movements swept over it. The flickering flame revealed the swift emergence of sword marks. Her sword was drawn horizontally, creating a dazzling arc of light within a meter of her.

A cocoon of sword energy enveloped the blade, just a few inches away.

Her sword strike was too fast, leaving no one around to defend against it. Yagyū Simozi didn't hold back at all and directly aimed for Sanada Ryoichi's back. Being struck from behind was considered a disgrace for a swordsman, but not for a gangster. Many gangsters had died by self-inflicted gunshot wounds from being shot in the back, because turning one's back on an enemy was foolish, let alone when they had witnessed Yagyū Simozi drawing her sword.

Slowly, but with urgency, break!

The flash of the sword sliced towards Sanada's back, and Yagyū Simozi almost believed that this strike could instantly sever his upper body.

But suddenly, she heard the sound of rolling wheels, and everything around her instantly fell silent, as if demonly fires had ignited in the darkness. A pair of burning eyes stared at her, and the thunderous sound of wheels echoed, deafening her ears!

*Ding!

Yagyū Simozi's powerful sword strike was unexpectedly stopped, as Sanada Ryoichi swung his fist to strike her blade. The two clashed, but instead of him being pushed back, it was Simozi who was forced to retreat.

How is that possible?

Yagyū stared at Sanada's fist as it met her blade. Surprisingly, it was she who was pushed back?

And not a single scar could be found on his right arm, except for a faint white mark on the back of his hand, like as if it had been gently scratched by a nail.

Sanada Ryoichi sneered coldly and said, "Is that all you've got? Clearly, you're nowhere near as skilled as your older brother."

He walked out of the door without looking back, closed it behind him, and made his way up to the third floor.

"Wait!" Yagyū Simozi shouted.

Tsuyoshi Goto blocked Yagyū Simozi's way and with a serious expression, he urged, "Miss Yagyū, it would be best for you to put away your weapon. We have no intention of harming you, and this matter doesn't concern you much..."

Yagyū Simozi swung her sword and blood splattered, causing a powerful gust of wind inside the room. "Now that I'm here, I have no intention of going back so easily!"

Tsuyoshi Goto gazed at Yagyū and caught a glimpse of a similar demeanor to that young man. Although still youthful, there was a strong determination in her that could not be easily undermined.

He knew in his heart that persuading her would be futile; the brother and the sister are the same kind of person.

"Well then, excuse me!"

Tsuyoshi Goto took off his suit, rolled up his sleeves, and pulled out two iron rods from behind.

He knew that today he would definitely have to engage in a tough battle, so he thought about how to deal with Bai Wei's weapon. Although he had a steel suit, fighting with bare hands would still put him at a disadvantage. Therefore, he prepared in advance two lightweight yet sturdy iron rods.

Just as Tsuyoshi Goto took out his weapon, in the next moment he was struck by a sword right in front of him. Yagyū leaped up and swung his sword vertically, with the blade shining directly toward his opponent's shoulder and neck.

Yagyū Simozi, who was more fierce than her brother, maybe because she had been visualizing scenes of killing people, had become accustomed to it. So when she actually struck someone with a real sword for the first time, she didn't feel any hesitation. Instead, she felt a strong sense of familiarity and comfort.

With only a single sword in hand, her movements were as graceful as a butterfly, but every strike was solid and steady. She was fast, yet her strength was equally heavy. Her footwork was light, seeming to defy gravity as she stepped on the ground. With each strike, she swiftly regained her balance using the force of the rebound. Her movements were light, but her attacks were ferocious. It felt as if she wasn't wielding a mere sword, but rather a whip made of iron.

Tsuyoshi Goto's martial arts level was just over ten, which wasn't very low. However, in front of Yagyū, all he could do was defend. He couldn't even find a chance to strike back. As he stumbled backward, his back crashed through the wooden door and window. The paper door in mid-air was torn apart, and white paper fragments fluttered and scattered down.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his shoulder, and blood burst forth. He clenched his teeth and, with a determined resolve, sacrificed his defense. Paying the price of a wounded shoulder, he swiftly turned the crutch into an offensive weapon.

But this iron rod was stepped on with a foot, Yagyū Simozi's thigh appeared slender and upright beneath her well-fitted pants. When tensed, her strength was no less than that of a gazelle, and she forcefully drove her knee right onto Tsuyoshi Goto's chin.

The Sanada Group's leader crashed straight through the railing, tumbling down towards the dance floor on the first floor. With a drop of nearly three meters and his chin taking the impact, Tsuyoshi Goto fell in a disoriented state and couldn't get up right away. The dancers below quickly scattered, making way for the gangsters in black suits who swiftly filled the space.

Hiroshi Miyamoto clapped his hands as he walked out, saying, "Impressive swordsmanship, truly befitting of the future leader of the Yagyū family... However, causing chaos and destruction here has harmed my property, young lady. I advise you to surrender now, or else..."

Jutaro snapped his fingers, and the closed doors on the entire second floor swung open. Each room was filled with no less than fifteen people. Counting the large group downstairs, the number of gangsters on the first and second floors had surpassed one hundred.

Yagyū Simozi's heart was not filled with fear. When she saw the large group of people, her first reaction was a slight smile.

She looked at Hiroshi Miyamoto with cold eyes and said, "These people, they were originally meant for my older brother, weren't they...?"

"How dare we be so disrespectful?" Miyamoto chuckled like a cunning fox. "There are three times as many people waiting outside the door who haven't even come in yet."

Three times, that's like four to five hundred people...

She had cut down a lot more inside the RashoMon gate than here.

"Is that all?" Yagyū Simozi sneered. "If they can't even keep me, how can they handle my older brother?"

Hiroshi Miyamoto ignored her provocation and snapped his fingers once again, "Capture her!"

The gangsters from the second floor rushed over, and the ones from the first floor immediately followed up the stairs. There were many of them, and they all carried weapons. Even if it was just a few hundred ants, they could bite a person with every step they took, leaving no room for escape.

Yagyū Simozi wasn't worried; instead, she looked towards the direction of the third floor. Sanada was walking up the stairs, heading towards the private room on the third floor. He didn't pay any attention to what was happening downstairs, completely losing interest.

She kicked over the potted plant placed by the side of the corridor as decoration. At the same time, she swung her sword and cut off the green bamboo from the decoration. She also took off the deer-shaped ornament with flowing water and threw it all towards the direction behind her, blocking the people from the second floor who were trying to attack. Then, she walked to the stairs and directly swung her sword towards the entrance of the corridor.

This wood was stronger than she had expected. A samurai sword is not like an electric saw. The thick wooden stairs were not only difficult to chop through but could even break the weapon itself. She attempted twice and realized that it was hard for her to break it with her own strength. She couldn't generate enough power for her sword strike to cut through the iron like clay. The gangsters from the first floor had already rushed up to her. She kicked out, knocking down the people crowded at the stairwell. One person fell, and the others fell in a row, like a line of dominoes.

She looked back at the gangsters who were about to charge at her, without thinking too much, she directly jumped down to the first floor. As she jumped down, she swung her sword and severed an arm, causing blood to splatter and the neon lights on the stage to be stained red. The gangsters immediately fell silent, going from brave and fearless to completely subdued in an instant.

Her pants and sleeves had turned red from the blood. Yagyū Simozi kicked away the severed arm of the gangster. She raised her blood-stained sword, her voice icy cold.

"You, are you really not afraid of death?"
