Chapter 3: Time Restart?
Chu Jiang turned around and ran away!
But suddenly, as he turned around, "Crash!" Chu Jiang almost fell off the chair. His whole body lost balance.
This made the students in the classroom look at him with amazed eyes.
Even Teacher Yu said, "Chu Jiang, what's wrong with you?"
Chu Jiang looked at everything familiar in front of him and became completely stunned… What on earth was going on??
Didn't he escape from the classroom? Wasn't he already not far from the school gate? Didn't he collide with the half-human, half-ghost security guard?
Why, why was he still sitting in the classroom?
Could it be an illusion?
So, was the previous experience an illusion, or was what he was seeing now the illusion?
His thoughts froze for a few seconds, and when he saw the black diary on the desk, Chu Jiang immediately adjusted his chair.
The diary was naturally open. The most important thing was that the content on the first page hadn't changed.
So Chu Jiang stood up and looked out the window, staring fixedly at the location of the security office by the school gate.
This made the other students even more surprised. They all stared at Chu Jiang, who suddenly went crazy, and started whispering to each other.
Even Li Yan, who sat next to him, pulled Chu Jiang's sleeve in surprise.
But Chu Jiang completely ignored them.
Just as Deputy Class Leader Zhou Cheng was about to stand up to restore order in the class, and as Teacher Yu was about to speak again…
"Bang!" Suddenly, Chu Jiang punched the glass!
He saw the security guard lying on the table trying to stand up.
Everyone was shocked by Chu Jiang's sudden action, but he didn't seem to realize it. He turned his head and shouted, "The school is haunted, run!"
The whole class, including the teacher, froze once again.
After one second, Deputy Class Leader Zhou Cheng said seriously, "Don't fool around, are you feeling unwell? I'll take you to the clinic."
Then the class became noisy, with people laughing, some looking at Chu Jiang with foolish eyes, and others teasingly saying, "Did you stay up all night at the internet café? Are you hallucinating now?"
"Chu Jiang, have you been playing too many horror games?"
"I think he watches too many horror movies. He's in senior year and still doesn't think about studying hard."
Boys and girls, some laughed, some shook their heads, some continued studying as if nothing happened, some showed worried expressions, various expressions were seen.
"Everyone, stop making noise," Teacher Yu raised her hand, "Zhou Cheng, go help him."
Chu Jiang had already expected this scene, so he didn't feel any injustice or anger.
Being in the same class for years, giving a reminder was already his best effort. Now that ghosts had started appearing, soon they wouldn't have a choice but to believe.
As for saving everyone, Chu Jiang couldn't do it, he couldn't even save himself.
Finally, after roaring without incident, Chu Jiang could at least be sure that the teacher and classmates were not ghosts, at least not right now.
Seizing the time, Chu Jiang once again put his diary into his backpack and rushed out of the classroom door.
"Wait!" Several people chased after him, Teacher Yu, the vice class monitor, and a male classmate named Zhang Haoran.
Chu Jiang didn't want to get involved with them, so he directly said, "Look outside the window, towards the school gate."
The people who chased after him naturally wouldn't obediently listen, but there were still many idle classmates, some of whom instinctively looked in the direction he mentioned.
Then, the person by the window exclaimed.
"What is that?!"
"Am I not mistaken? Someone's face has been bitten off, and they're walking towards us."
"Is that the security guard? Is he dead?"
"What's wrong with his lower body? Why does it look like a shadow?"
The cries of surprise attracted more people to the window. Except for a few with poor eyesight, anyone who saw the security guard's body felt a chill in their hearts.
Could there really be ghosts? Is everything Chu Jiang said true?
Taking advantage of the distracted attention of the three people around him, Chu Jiang quickly ran away. Soon, the school would be in chaos. Who knew how many people would survive after today…
While Chu Jiang was escaping, a few people in the classroom noticed and sporadically followed him out, not even the teacher could stop them.
Chu Jiang only noticed these people when he reached the second floor; among them, his desk mate Li Yan also chased after him, shouting, "Wait for me!"
After hesitating for a moment, Chu Jiang slowed down. This desk mate was one of his good friends in class. He didn't have many friends, just a few. Otherwise, he wouldn't have asked this kid to accompany him to the infirmary earlier.
Several classmates caught up quickly. Chu Jiang remained silent and let them follow him as they ran together.
There were four people following: Li Yan, Han Feixiong, Cheng Jie, and Gao Yifei.
But here was the problem, Chu Jiang and Li Yan were good friends; Han Feixiong, on the other hand, had a good relationship with Li Yan.
And the last two people, they were not familiar with any of the three. Chu Jiang and Cheng Jie even had some small disagreements, so he didn't expect her to follow.
Yes, Cheng Jie, she was a girl, and she was the class monitor of Class 12-2.
Cheng Jie was very beautiful, one of the class flowers. She had long hair, an oval face, fair skin, and in her bright eyes, it seemed like there were ripples of water.
Although the girls were all wearing the same school uniform, this one obviously stood out, with a full chest. She also had a high status in the class, otherwise during the voting, the class monitor should have been Zhou Cheng.
"Why are you following me?" Chu Jiang ran downstairs and said in a low voice.
Li Yan looked terrified, "I believe what you said, where should we run? I don't want to die."
Han Feixiong also nodded repeatedly. Although his name sounded powerful, because of his chubby figure, his classmates called him "Han Fatty".
Cheng Jie pursed her lips and remained silent.
Gao Yifei, who was tall and big, calmly said, "You realized early that something happened with the security guard in the security room."
"Even though I don't know what's happened at school now, and how you knew in advance; but I think the chance of surviving is highest when you are with smart people."
This answer surprised Chu Jiang a little. Gao Yifei was on the school basketball team and many girls liked him for his tall and sunny disposition.
Although they were in the same class, they hadn't said much to each other. Unexpectedly, this guy was quick-witted and decisive.
It seemed like he was the first one who chased after them just now, and then it was Li Yan, Han Feixiong, and Cheng Jie.
"Next, if there's anything you need help with, just ask. I am physically fit, so I can definitely help."
Faced with Gao Yifei's friendly initiative, Chu Jiang didn't refuse.
He took out his phone, trying to call the police.
But what made Chu Jiang anxious was that the call couldn't go through??
The cell phone had signal, full bars, but still couldn't make a call.
He immediately switched to WeChat, trying to contact his parents; but the result was the same, the phone had data, but couldn't send messages or receive any from the outside.
The others saw what he did and tried it themselves, but the result was the same.
